DADAMADE

performance as part of “Literaturfest Salzburg”
“Mozarteum University” x “Literaturfest Salzburg” Mirabellgarten Salzburg
2019
context:
A Dadaist ceremony with Kurt Schwitters' “Ursonate” as the starting point.
‘The poetry of the ugly’
The cloak of shrink-wrapped organic waste wraps around the performer and the water surface of the Pegasus fountain is also covered by the floating carpets. Referring to the baroque exhibition venue, the expansive costume deals with the theme of transience. The natural cycle, the eventual decay of food, is disrupted by the vacuuming and sealing process in plastic bags and the food is preserved in its current state. What allows us to intervene in natural processes? Can decomposition processes be something beautiful?
