The audiovisual installation “Ein weites Feld” extends Hans Schabus’ intervention entitled “Innere Landschaft” into the three-dimensional space.

“Ein weites Feld” organises musical parameters of the first movement of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Symphony in A major KV 201 to agricultural machines and their tracks.

On the walls of the “Kollegienkirche” - in an exciting contrast to Schabus' static network of paths - the projected, mutually overlapping and ever-changing traces of music now move, the result is a painting that continually reinvents itself.
