context:
in the form of graphic scores, landscape photographs and an experimental animation film,
Sophie Thammer and Sihua Ren show the entire genesis of “ein weites Feld” at “Stadtgalerie am Mozartplatz”:
An intensive exploration of the first movement of the Symphony in A major KV 201, which various approaches to visualising the musical structures of the piece.
Assuming that the different landscapes on Mozart's long journeys inspired the composition,
the artists set themselves the task of artistically investigating the connection between the symphony structures and processes.
The parameters in the music are initially assigned graphically abstract forms, later traces of agricultural machinery.
